Happy Halloween... and a mouse!

This Halloween was more eventful than usual years... but let me start at the beginning :)
First look at this cute tired little boy!
Ok so we had our ward Trunk-or-Treat the Wednesday before Halloween. I dressed us up as characters from Peter Pan (being as I can still pick Booker's costume and he doesn't care as long as there is candy involved!). Troy was Mr. Smee, I was Wendy and of course Booker was Peter.
 A few things:
 1. I thought we looked awesome!
2. People thought Troy was Where's Waldo... what??
3. People thought I was Maid Miriam from Robin Hood and
4. People thought Booker was Robin Hood or a Lost Boy.
How is it that hard to deduct that we are all characters from Peter Pan and then figure out the character????? I was baffled. Whatever.
I even decorated our trunk as Neverland with the Indian teepees (Booker helped with those), the Lost Boys hideout, Hangman's Tree, Skull Rock, the Croc, and Captain Hook's hook.
Even though no one understood our costumes, we had fun and Booker scored a bucket load of candy.
Now onto the most eventful part of Halloween at our house...
Thursday evening Troy took the garbage out and left the front door open as he ran out to the dumpster.
About 2 hours later we heard a weird metallic, scratching sound coming from the kitchen. We went in to inspect and found a little, brown mouse chowing down on a piece of Booker's Halloween candy. He had climbed into B's candy bucket, gotten a candy out and was enjoying it on the counter.
The rest of the evening was spent setting traps and waiting.
In the middle of the night we heard him come back to devour more candy but the traps were empty in the morning.
We figured out he was dragging his prizes across the counter, onto the stove top and into one of the burners to some secret hideout.
The next day, while Troy was at school (of course) I hear a loud snap and found his mischievousness was over for good.
Good riddance!!
But all of B's Halloween candy had to be tossed so good thing Trick-or-Treating was still to come!
Halloween morning Booker and I made these cute little pom pom spiders :)
B liked them :) He liked them so much they even got to watch shows with him!
Halloween night for Trick-or-Treating, since Troy and I didn't dress up, Booker went as a construction worker/lumber jack, depending on if he wore the helmet haha. He looked so cute!!!! I even drew stubble on his face with eyeliner :)
He was the cutest kid out there!
People were so amazed at how polite he was when he was at their door. Proud momma moment right there!
We knocked one door and an older man answered wearing a scary goblin mask. Booker paused for a moment before saying Trick-or-Treat. The guy asked in a scary voice, "What do you want?" and Booker being cute, innocent and sweet simply said, "A treat please." The guy was taken back and said he was so impressed and that B had awesome manners and gave him his candy. Booker said thank you and walked away. Haha!
