July 4th!

Well this Independence Day was pretty chill. We spent the day hanging out at home, then having a BBQ at my parents house (they were out of town haha) with Hayley and few of her friends. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and blew up Booker's little pool. Hayley found the traditional firework… the Pagoda, and later we walked around the neighborhood looking for other people doing fireworks.
We randomly decided to go to the Meridian Speedway to watch the firework show, after deciding we didn't want to be out that late. Haha but Booker really enjoyed the big fireworks and it was well worth the late night.
Here are a few pictures from the day :)
I made some fun cupcakes for the holiday. The top has pop rocks to be like fireworks and they were quite a hit.
Booker really enjoyed some mini sparkling cider :)
The beloved Pagoda! We seriously have had a pagoda firework every year since I can remember. It's my mom's favorite and has now become a tradition. The day is not complete if there is no pagoda!!!
On the way home from the firework show. He zonked out almost immediately and slept the rest of the night, even with all the crazy people doing fireworks outside.
