House Decorating Fun

 Since we moved into our rental house, I decided I wanted to vamp up the decor and go with a whole new color scheme. I had be using red as my accent color with our black furniture and tan couches, but it was old news and I wanted something brighter and more fresh for the new space. 

We ended up getting a grey carpet for our rug in the family room, and the curtains that were left behind by the house owner are tan/beige and work nicely with our couches. I decided to go with the pretty blue color that's really in right now and might throw some coral-orangeish in too somewhere. 

So I found these cute pillows at Gordman's for a great deal and based everything off of them.

I have so many projects I want to do for this new place and I have finished a couple, so here they are!!! :)

I started with my old red picture frames and a couple other pieces I had around that I decided to make over. 

This was black before I primed it haha.  

My red vases I've had for a long time. 

This mirror was brown with orange weathered areas, if that makes any sense. I found it at a garage sale for cheap so I was super excited to get my hands on it. 

 I primed everything with a no-sanding needed primer I found at Lowe's. It saved so much time and worked great! 

 Then I painted the vases and the red frames this lovely blue color, Sea Breeze :)

Everything turned out really well and I love how they all look in the house!!!!

I decided to paint the mirror grey that matches our fireplace mantle. It looks so good and it's hard to tell in this picture but I really love the grey color. And there's Milli from Umi Zoomi in the reflection :)

I put the vases up on the plater shelf above the mirror by the front down walk in area. They give that area a nice pop of color and help balance everything around the room. 

 The other big frame I haven't decided what to do with yet so it's just primed and sitting there in the garage haha. We'll see.

My next plan of action: taking on these bad boys!!! 

The bench will probably be Sea Breeze blue where it's already yellow and the white will probably stay white, but maybe grey???

And the giant dresser…. Probably black but you never know. I might go with some crazy color haha. 

You guys I seriously LOVE doing stuff like this!!!! 

How do I make it so I can just get paid for stuff like this??? :)
