More of the Birthday Boy

Once Booker's actual birthday came around I thought we'd be partied out, but I was wrong!!! Mostly because I was so excited about it :)
I love birthdays and I think that they should be awesome, especially for the kids, so I will probably always throw a party for my kids and make the day more than usually fun!
This year B's birthday was on a Wednesday. Dad had to work all day but came home for lunch. So other than lunch and after 7pm, it was just me and Booker mostly. We woke up and did our usual routine. Then I took him to the party store and let him pick out some helium balloons. He chose a blue star and a giant Mickey Mouse (I may have encouraged the giant Mickey :)) It was awesome!!!
The Birthday Boy!!!
It was GIANT! He loved it and was already attached before we left the store.
Best Friends Forever Mickey and Booker! Haha B was carrying him around, hugging him, running with him, watching shows with him, holding his hand, trying to share his snacks with him, you name it!  It was awesome and probably the cutest and funniest thing I've ever witnessed :)
Troy came home for lunch at noon, and Grammy and Kelsey joined us for a special Birthday lunch. I made Mickey shaped pancakes with syrup, whipped cream and sprinkles. He got to blow out his candle again after we sang to him. I think his favorite part, other than the singing and candle, was eating each individual sprinkle!
Then of course more presents! Troy and I got him some new tennis shoes and church shoes along with some puzzles and stickers. Grammy, Grampy and Kelsey gave him some puzzles also, along with a pincher claw, and a minion. Grandma and Grandpa brought over a new bed spread for his big boy bed that has cars, trucks and buses all over it. It was a good haul haha.
I love his faces when he pulled out the minion!
Practicing the claw! That thing will come in handy trying to get stuff stuck behind things I know it!
Later in the day we hung out in Grammy's backyard and had fun doing what Booker wanted to do. Once Troy got home we took B out for dinner to McDonald's and let him get a happy meal AND an ice cream cone :) (I forgot to take pics of that). It was a fun filled day and I think he enjoyed it.
I can't wait to see what he does throughout this next year. He's already growing like crazy and learning more new things everyday.
I love my Booker Boy!!
This is our family hug we do all the time. It includes growling, shaking, and kisses at the end :) I love my family!
