Love Month pt. 1

Well it's February and to start the Month of Love off right Troy and I went out to dinner and a movie at The Village. We saw Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (really good) and ate at Twigs Bistro, the newest restaurant in The Village.
It was our first experience at Twigs and we weren't disappointed but we weren't overly impressed either.
We asked for water and decided to split a huckleberry lemonade. The lemonade was watery and flavorless. We skipped over appetizers to save room for dessert instead, so we went right into entrees. Troy got a steak, well done that came out rare, and I got the butternut squash gnocchi, bland and mushy. We were not impressed. We did however get the chicken something soup that came with our entree and actually really liked that.
I'm glad we skipped appetizers and had dessert instead, because these Drunken Donuts were worth everything. Little donut holes covered in powdered sugar with three dipping sauces, Apple Pucker caramel, Irish Creme chocolate, and Amaretto creme Anglaise. The caramel and creme anglaise were to die for! These will be something I crave!
I doubt we ever go to Twigs again, unless we're getting dessert :)
Anyway! On to some February happenings...
I love my little stinker boy!
The best way to watch morning shows :)

We had a snow day last week, so when we went over to Grammy's house we played outside for a little bit. He discovered he can eat snow, but it's still cold in his mouth, but it's "yummy, delicious!"
Being as it's now February I can bring out my Valentine decor/crafts. I made all of these just recently and they were simple, quick, and cheap. These kinds of crafts are perfect for me right now, being as I don't have very much space or time, and I get my craft fix in every once in a while.
It's also nice that my house decor is accented with red so everything matches. But I'm thinking it's almost time for a new accent color :)

Booker and I put together a Valentine's Day package for Preston, too. B picked out all of the treats and had fun coloring his picture with heart stickers.
We love our Uncle Preston!
Although February is the shortest month, I already have so many pictures that it will be in parts haha!
More to come! :)
