Ringing in the New Year!

Happy 2014! Another year gone? It's crazy how time flies! Hopefully this year finds everyone happy, healthy and excited for the future. We are! This year B will turn 2, Troy will hopefully get into Physical Therapy school, and we could be moving! It's exciting and nerve racking and we can't wait!

For New Year's Eve, Troy and I went out to dinner at Ling & Louis', then went bowling at good old Westy's. We hadn't been bowling in a while and we had a lot of fun.

Our first game was pretty sad. So it was called the warm up. Our names were Da Thinker and Da Sleeper, because apparently that is what we want to do more of this new year (according to Troy). Can you guess who's who?

The second game was a lot better! We both had a strike so of course we documented it.

After bowling we picked up some desserts from Olive Garden, then hopped into bed to watch Iron Man 3 until it was time to watch the ball drop on TV.

But when we turned on the TV just before midnight to watch New York, this is what we found instead! The Idaho Potato Drop! Apparently they had a giant fake potato which they dropped while counting down to the new year. It was quite comical and only in Idaho would this happen. Oh well. We watched the potato, said happy new year, kissed, drank some sparkling cider and turned back to Iron Man 3 haha.  

All in all, this last year was a really good one! We moved, Troy found an awesome job, we were able to buy a second car, we've been close to family, we both have great callings we enjoy, and our Little Man is such a joy! We have been immensely blessed and are so grateful for everything and every opportunity we have had. Looking forward to this new year we are excited and nervous but let's do this   2014!!!
