Boise Festival of Trees

I hadn't been to the Festival of Trees since Elementary school, but my Mom, Hayley, Kelsey, Booker and I decided to go on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. All of the boys were watching football so we decided to get out of the house and check it out. Booker loves "bic trees" so we figured this would be perfect. Plus, what better way to start off the Christmas season than looking at awesomely decorated trees :)
I guess they do this every year, but this was the first time we had thought about going haha. You can bid on trees you like or just buy some of them out right I think. That would be cool someday.
Again I don't have very many pictures but oh well…
As we suspected, Booker loved all the trees and seeing Snowmen, Santas, and Reindeer.
There was an entire room set up just for multiple electric trains! He was in heaven!
Look at that happy little face!
It was a little crazy, with a billion people there, but we enjoyed walking around looking at the various themed trees. Booker loved anything with a train or a Snowman on it. He was enthralled by a ballet group performing their piece about a snowman that comes to life and teaches the rest of the kids how to dance. The girl playing the snowman had a snowman head on so Booker was mesmerized. We stood and watched the dancing, as Booker stared, open mouthed for at least 10 minutes. Finally we got him away and continued our perusing.
Love this picture :) Such good Aunties!
There was even a fire truck parked inside! Booker was very excited :)
Grammy also bought him a Gingerbread cookie :)
He ate the Gingerbread Man's head then the arms and legs then continued by licking off the buttons. He was still holding the body on our way home when he fell asleep in his carseat.
This was one of my favorites.
The Willy Wonka tree and the sisters, plus Booker putting his Gingerbread Man on his head :)
The Festival of Trees was a lot of fun and we were amazed at how expensive some of the trees were! It was fun judging the different trees amongst ourselves and decided which were our favorites.
Maybe this will become a tradition in the future :)
