8 Months Old Update

Booker is now 8 months old and he's growing so fast! 

He continues to be as busy as ever and chews on everything, never-the-less he is such a happy little man and a joy to have in our home.

His hair is getting longer and is still brown. His eyes seem to be getting darker but aren't quite brown. They usually look dark, dark blue or a dark hazel, sometimes grey even. 

He's wearing 12 to 18 month clothes and size 3 to 4 shoes. He's pretty tall and can reach more things everyday that I hadn't thought of. 

He loves eating big kid food or anything that we're eating but still loves his bottle too. He's getting really good at drinking out of his sippy cup and also tries to feed himself with his spoon. 

He was recently diagnosed with asthma which we have been figuring out and had his first, and hopefully last, trip to the ER for a breathing treatment to help his asthma attack.

After we got home from Boise he broke out with a little rash on his legs which we went to see the doctor's office about. It just has to run it's course and is nothing serious. At the appointment he weighed in at 19 pounds 9 ounces.  We go in for his nine month check at the beginning of January.  

He also had his first bout of the flu last weekend while we were in Pocatello for Preston and Kelsey's State Drama Competition. He threw up all over me for the first time and then threw up four more times throughout the morning. He was still a really happy little guy through it all.

He now knows how to clap, wave, and give a high five. He walks around the furniture and stands on his own really well. 

He seriously chews on everything and will bite everything too. He now has five teeth, two on bottom and three on top. 

He loves getting into the kitchen drawers and throw everything on the floor. I've started putting his toys into the drawers to keep him occupied. The other day he pulled out one of my plastic measuring cups and threw it across the room. Once it hit the floor the handle broke off! I was laughing so hard!!!

Troy decided to do Booker's hair with some hair gel the other day... silly silly.

I know I say this every monthly update... but he is getting so big so fast!!!! It's hard to believe he's already 8 months old! He's so adorable and we love him so much. 

We have to go to Salt Lake for his little surgery in a week, so we're anticipating that. We are also excited to celebrate our first Christmas together as a little family this year and can't wait for Booker to experience everything that goes with the holidays. 

He is seriously the cutest kid ever and we love him more than anything! :)
