This Is Me Challenge- Part 2
So there are multiple categories within the Just for Women tab...
For Mothers:
-How did you feel when you found out you were going to be a mother? When I found out I was pregnant with Booker (our first) I was giddy. At first at least. Then I became a little nervous and towards the end downright scared! :) I was so excited to be a mother though. As soon as we knew, I knew that this is what I wanted to be for the rest of my life, a mother. This was what I have been waiting for as my role as a daughter of God. But the initial feeling was excitement beyond words. Literally :)
-What is the hardest thing about being a mother? Probably the lack of sleep and freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want to do it. Also at first, the anxiety and stress that comes with being responsible for this tiny human that depends on you for everything.
-What is the best thing about being a mother? Being responsible for this tiny human that depends on me for everything :) The knowledge that my children rely on me and love me and that I have been given the opportunity to raise them here on Earth. Also the little moments when I can hold my baby or play with my baby and think he is mine forever.
-Is being a mother just as you'd thought it would be? It is but also isn't. I expected the sleep deprivation, stress, and that I would love this baby so much, but I didn't expect how extreme all of those things would be. I didn't think I would be this tired or this stressed or that I could love this little person so much I sometimes cry because I'm so happy. I expected the staying at home and being spit up on but I didn't expect the physical and mental toll being post-pregnant and a new mom would be like.
-How do you balance all that you need to do? Honestly... sometimes I just don't do what I need to do. But usually I just wait until the baby is sleeping or Troy is home to tag team.
-What do you do to stay sane? (What do you like to do in your spare time?) Pinterest, scrapbook, read or watch TV. Pretty much be unproductive :)
-What are you doing to continue learning? Right now I'm being a mother and I'm learning how to do that through talking to friends and family, but eventually I hope to go back to school to get my major finished.
