3 Weeks
Today my Little Man is 3 weeks old! At times it feels just like 3 weeks, other times it seems like we've had him a lot longer and then others like it's only been a few days. We love him so much and we're enjoying every minute of him, even when we go through 3 diaper changes in about 5 minutes!
Booker's growing so fast it's crazy! Sometimes he looks so mature/older than he is, and I swear he's a morphling because some days he looks just like Troy then others just like me and then sometimes an entirely different person. He's getting taller and heavier but he's pretty much just a tall, skinny kid haha. His hair is thinning (I hope it doesn't completely go! I would seriously cry) and has changed from a really dark brown/black to more of a chestnut color. My red is coming through :) And his eyes are still dark blue. Sometimes they look grey or green but we consider them blue.
He's having his first growth spurt which means he eats A LOT! He's ready to eat every two hours, sometimes less, even if I'm not ready, and he'll get so excited he's about to eat he can't stand it and it takes forever to get started. Last night we were up exactly every two hours to eat starting at 10pm and ending at 8am. During the night he also went through 3 different outfits because of blow outs and two different blankets. It was a night let's just say.
He had his first big spit up yesterday. He was laying on the floor just chillin' and when I looked down there was spit up all down his cheek, on the side of his head in his hair and his ear and all over the little mat he was on. I felt horrible for the little guy!
Booker loves his Daddy! When Troy gets home from school or work Booker loves Daddy time. Troy bounces him and makes faces at him and Booker just lays there so content. I love watching my boys together. Troy is a great Daddy :)
I love my baby boy so much! Being a mom is exhausting and hard and tries your patience and emotions but it is the best thing in the world to be. I feel so blessed to be given this opportunity to raise this little spirit as my son.

You're so good at capturing all the thoughts and experiences that come with a newborn. You're reminding me of what I have to look forward to soon. Yes, even the blow outs! :)
