"I have cute legs..."
Well let's just say by the time I have Little Guy I will be a pro at hospital visits!
Sunday I woke up after a fitfullish night of sleep to symptoms extremely similar to ones I had recently encountered. Sure enough after pacing the house for about an hour and a half I began throwing up and instantly knew for certain that I was experiencing round two of kidney stones. Following the signs, we headed into the hospital around 12:30ish, where they hooked me up to an IV and got the drugs flowing. Unlike last time, since I didn't wait so long to come in, I was less dehydrated and exhausted and everything went so much smoother. We ended up staying Sunday night and left Monday about 1:15-1:30 I believe. Being as I began 20 weeks on Sunday they watched for contractions when I first arrived and made sure Baby was doing ok. He's a trooper for sure having to go through this twice already. But everything is fine and we're just getting back to normal again.
So this time around I wasn't as exhausted so I was awake a lot more after they gave me the drugs and things. One of the nausea medicines apparently makes me very loopy which we didn't know from before because I would always zonk out after they put it in. After receiving this nausea drug I got up to go to the bathroom. I should mention I was in a beautiful hospital gown this time as well. As I got out of my bed and put my feet on the floor I noticed my legs and said to Troy, "I have cute legs!" then continued into the bathroom. Troy says that I also focused on the the word "Yep" for awhile, just repeating it over and over with different facial expressions until something else distracted me. I also got really puffy in my face and hands from the amount of IV fluid they kept pumping into me so I would stay hydrated. This didn't happen last time either so when I saw myself in the mirror it was quite a surprise lets just say!
I am so grateful that this time went so much quicker and more smoothly. I appreciate Barb and Lonnie for coming up and seeing us before heading back to Boise and making sure we were ok. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers and watches over us. I'm just going to keep praying that this was our last visit until our little man comes out!!!
